Bike – 29 miles
In case you’ve noticed that I have not been posting my workouts this week, it’s because there have been no workouts this week. That’s right, nothin, nadda, zip. I have been sitting on my butt, letting my muscles and foot heal (oh yeah and working on that pesky thesis thing).
I knew I wanted to go out and do something this weekend. I was thinking maybe a nice relaxing yoga class, or a low-impact swim, etc. But when Steph from 321Delish tweeted that she was looking for a bike partner this morning, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity for some workout company! I love me a training date!:)
Poor Steph–I was not the best bike buddy today. First, we left a half an hour later than we had originally planned because I’m a dummy who has not touched my bike sine the Kinetic Half Ironman last Saturday and completely forgot until that morning that at Kinetic I had broken off the nozzle tip of my tire tube, which meant if I wanted to put air in my tires (which usually helps when you’re biking;), I would need to change my tire. And it was the back one. Sigh.
Second, my legs were completely dead today. I think they were still angry with me for the bike/run course I put them through on Saturday. Remember this run elevation chart from the half marathon portion of the half ironman?
Sorry for being a slow mo today, Steph! I promise I’ll be a better bike buddy next time!:)
I also had some awesome dinner dates this weekend at two restaurants I had never been to before, and both were awesome! I love finding new amazing restaurants!
Earlier this week Eric and I had a dinner date at an Indian restaurant near our house, Aditi. Aditi is a little inconspicuous restaurant in the shopping center by our house, that we have always overlooked in the past. I am sad we just now discovered this place (2+ years after living here), because it was SO amazing!
I also can’t remember the name of my dish, but it was a coconut milk and curry sauce with shrimp. And it was amazing (as was the garlic naan).
Oh yeah, and the men were there, too:).
Seasons 52 is a little more on the pricey side, but the food was amazing. They are called Seasons 52 because they change their menu according to the seasons. Also, all of their meals have 475 calories or less! Very interesting to me.
I failed to take pictures of our food, I think because I was too excited to eat it and to watch Dana’s adorable son, who was joining us for dinner.
Eric and I also shared the goat cheese ravioli and buffalo and black bean chili. Yum!
And dessert was also amazing. They have “mini indulgences” for dessert, and brought us out the whole tray for Dana’s birthday to choose from:). The guys were not paying attention when the waitress brought this over, and asked if we had ordered the whole thing. I wish!:)
Do you have any fun plans for the weekend?
What workouts are you doing?
