I Want to be a FitFluential Ambassador!

If you haven’t heard, the folks over at FitFluential are putting together a new family of FitFluential ambassadors. They’ve already gone through one round of selections, and are about to go through a second round. I missed the first round of applications because I was neck-deep in Master’s thesis writing, but this time I wanted to make sure to get my booty in gear to apply!

So, why do I think I would be a good FitFluential ambassador? I may not have certifications in personal training or nutrition, but I do have something else–passion.

I am extremely passionate about fitness and healthy living. I love cooking, running, working out, and triathlons. My blog title comes from the concept that we can’t comprehend just how strong we are and how much we are capable of until we try! I love endurance sports because I love to constantly challenge myself. I’m not happy unless I’m pushing my limits!

Cooking great food and participating in endurance sports brings me an incredible amount of happiness, and I just love sharing that happiness with others:). I believe that health and happiness are contagious, and that by living a happy and healthy lifestyle yourself, and have fun doing it, you can inspire others to believe that they can do it, too.

This year I helped a good friend of mine do her first triathlon ever, and am currently “coaching” my brother and husband in preparation for their first triathlons. It is a joke in my circle of friends about how I’m always asking people to sign up for races with me. But for as much as they tease me, I must be doing something right, because I have had a blast this year racing with all of my friends.

When I first started my blog, I had no idea that I would soon be immersed in a whole new family of fellow food/fitness/running/triathlon lovers, and that I would get so much more out of my blog than I ever imagined!

The friends I have made through blogging have had a huge impact on my life. I have tried new recipes from bloggers in other countries, gone on brunches and bike rides with some of my local blogger friends, and debated the pros and cons of two marathons I could not decide between with a blogging friend across the country who I had never met in person.

I am extremely committed to fitness and to sharing my passion with others. I love my blogging family, and I hope to be a part of the new FitFluential family, too!

I put together a little video for the FitFluential folks, too. I hope you enjoy my nerdiness:).

Finally, if you would like to support my application and think I would make a good ambassador, please leave a comment telling FitFluential why.

Erin would make a most excellent FitFluential Ambassador! She is always so positive & encouraging, not only on her own blog, but in her comments on the blogs of others. Her suggestions & recipes are great. I’m proud to consider Erin one of my circle of fitness blogging friends.

  3. Karen says:

Erin would be the perfect Fit! She is so passionate about living a healthy life and spreads that to everyone around her by encouraging them to race with her, try new recipes, or just meet her out on the roads one day at a time. She brings her energy and enthusiasm to everything she does and has for years. I love the slideshow but, Erin, I think you need to add some of your QO days to it to truly capture how young we fell in love with a sport that most despise…running đŸ™‚ FitFluential, her passion has stuck with her this long and surely will stay for good!

  4. Lauren says:

Erin would be the best Fit Fluential Amassador ever. Have you seen those recipes she posts?! Yum! She is also a wonder athlete who so passionate about all she does. Yay, Erin!

  5. Sam says:

You definitely have to pick Erin! She would be an awesome addition to your team.

  6. Priyanka says:

Erin would be perfect as a fitfluential ambassador. You just have to check out her race page to see what a great addition she will be to your team.

  7. Chuck says:

Isn’t connecting through social media amazing? I’m glad we’ve met Erin!

  8. Erin would be an amazing Fitfluential ambassador because she is knowledgeable and passionate about healthy living. Her recipes are delicious and also good for you! Erin’s dedication to running, biking, swimming, (etc.) is inspiring to everyone that knows her. She always keeps her blog interesting and takes the time to offer helpful and supportive comments to others. Erin is a sincere and thoughtful friend. She is also the first person that I would go to with questions about health and fitness!

Love you, Erin! I hope that they pick you! =)

    • Thank you so much, Dana! You are so sweet. I appreciate your support very much. It’s scary putting myself out there but the support from you guys means SOOOO much to me.

I love you too! Can’t wait to visit you again soon!

  9. Lauren says:

Erin would be a wonderful FitFluential Ambassador because she is inspirational to all who read her blog! This girl trained for and competed in a Half Ironman while in the midst of writing her grad school thesis. To be able to fit in all that training takes time, dedication, and pure passion to the sport. And then she rocked that Half Ironman and I found it so inspirational to read about her performance!! From reading her posts, it is clear that she is passionate about healthy living in general. She shares that passion (along with some pretty delicious recipes) with others through her blog and I think she’d be an awesome addition to your team!!

  10. amy says:

You’d be an awesome ambassador! Despite your crazy school stuff, you still remained committed to training and racing a 70.3. Being fit, healthy and kick-ass on the swim, bike and run is clearly just a part of your lifestyle, not just something you “do.” That’s definitely inspiring to others!

  11. Thank you so much Amy, that is so nice of you to say! I really appreciate your support. It wasn’t easy training for my 70.3 while in grad school, but then when is it ever easy? We all struggle to balance work/life and training, but I actually think it helps to have something else to focus on outside of the stressful work/school stuff:).

  12. Stephanie says:

Aww yay for the shout out. I love that it was soo much fun!
    Ok
    Dear Fit Ambassador Folks,

You could not pick a better person than my friend Erin. And she is right, by friend I mean I have never even met her in “real life” but I am pretty convinced we would be best friends if we did. Erin is a person who can lend so much support and encouragment and invest so much of her time in others and you truly feel that she cares and is dedicated to you! I have been having tons of shoe problems lately and Erin has seen me through thick and thin. I feel like i am annoying everyone else in my two month long saga, but not Erin. I can confide in her and she is supportive, encouraging and has great suggestions. I don’t know what i would do without her. She puts others first and is the perfect fit for this job.

    • Steph you are the sweetest!! Of course I never get tired of hearing about your shoe stuff…I am totally invested in this situation now. I really really hope this crease thing solves your problem now. So frustrating! Thank you so much for all your kind words. I can’t wait to meet you in September!:)

  13. Anastasia says:

Erin would be an awesome ambassador! I’ve only recently discovered her blog but it has become one of my favorites. I think she’d be wonderful because of the exact reason she stated- passion. You can read it in her writing and see it in her photos. This girl has got drive and would be a wonderful ambassador!

  14. As the newbie tri friend she helped out earlier this year (even giving me a tri-goody bag of helpful things) I KNOW that Erin would make a wonderful fitFluential ambassador!

She’s not someone that makes you feel bad about the condition your in training wise rather supports and encourages. I think that is the definition of a great ambassador to fitness. Someone who makes you want to try. Even crazy things like triathlons. Im privileged to call you a friend for over 2 decades! Thank you Erin!

    • Awwww, thank you Jessie! It made me so happy to be a part of your first ever triathlon!! You totally rocked it, too, by the way, and I can’t wait to do another one with you;) đŸ˜‰ đŸ˜‰

Thank you so much for your support, it means so much for my FRIEND OF 20+ years!!!:)

  15. Erin – this is awesome – you would be an incredible FitFluential ambassador. Obviously, your triathlete accomplishments are amazing – but you also have such a love and passion for your sports that you want to share with others. This definitely comes through in your writing. Best of luck!!!

  16. Dion Lynk says:

Erin would be a valuable addition to the FitFluential team! My wife and I are really looking forward to competing in a marathon soon, and because of the information that I’ve received here I’m confident we will train and condition to the very best standards. Communicating with Erin is also a joy as she is pleasant and enthusiastic.

  17. YES! DO IT! i THINK YOU’D BE GREAT! =)

  18. lindsay says:

you’d be a great ambassador!!! good luck!

  19. lindsay says:

    p.s.
    youre so cool!

  20. Patty says:

Erin would be an awesome addition to your FitFluential team! She is truly disciplined & passionate with not only her work outs & food but also about life in general! Erin is a hard worker who is always in search of a new challenge to outperform herself while managing to have a great time doing it. She is a great inspiration to others as well as myself. I wish you all the luck in the world, Erin!! Loved the video too!

  21. Peanut Butter Bandit says:

    Dear FitFluential folks:
Erin would make THE BEST ambassador EVER. Her blog is such an inspiration to me. It’s shown me that you can commit to fitness and preparing wholesome recipes while achieving a graduate level education. She provides her readers with a raw and honest account of her life and how she balances it all. Erin wholeheartedly believes that we cannot make pre-judgements about our capabilities- instead, we must give everything a chance and try (or “tri”)! This is a message that I think should be conveyed to people of all ages, but that I think is especially important to convey to young women struggling with eating disorders and self-image issues. It is people like Erin who provide amazing influence and inspiration. Furthermore, Erin is a truly caring and wonderful individual who goes out of her way to help her friends.

    GO ERIN!!!

    Sincerely,
    Blair

  23. Erin should be a FitFluential ambassador because she is an honest, inspirational fitness writer. She has great recipes, is an accomplished triathlete, and manages to balance fitness with the rest of her life.

    Good luck, girl!

  24. I love Erin! It would be crazy NOT to make her a FitFluential Ambassador because she is honest and inspiring. Beyond the fact that she is dedicated to fitness and an active and healthy lifestyle, she is just an all-around beautiful soul. She has amazing vision, passion and strength which comes through in her writing, and she is a natural leader. She would be a perfect choice!

    • Aw, this is so sweet, Ali! Thank you so much. You guys are really blowing me away with your amazing comments. You sure know how to make a girl feel special! That means a lot coming from you, too, one of the most beautiful souls I know!!

  25. Janice says:
