You should try making “Cheese Steak Pizza” it is easy and a nice alternative to regular pizza. I sometimes make my own crust using the recipe from the back of the Fleischman’s yeast package. If I am too lazy to do that, or if there is not enough time, I use a pre-made crust. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Cook time: 20 – 25 minutes.
    1 Pizza shell
    1/2 lb lean ground beef
    1 tablespoon EVOO
1 bell pepper – chopped into chunks
1 medium onion – sliced thin
2 cups of left over spaghetti sauce or small jar of pre-made pizza sauce (whatever you like)
2 cups shredded part skim mozzarella cheese
oregano, garlic powder seasoning & salt & pepper to taste

First I brown ground beef & add salt/pepper to taste, drain off all the fat & put it aside into a bowl. Then, to the frying pan, I add about a table spoon of EVOO to sauté onions & peppers. Return ground beef to pan & mix together with onions & peppers.
Brush a little EVOO on the edges of pizza shell & on the bottom of pizza pan.
    Spread sauce onto shell.
    Sprinkle garlic powder over sauce.
Add ground beef/onions/peppers mixture on top of sauce. (at this point, if you want to add more sauce on top of mixture…go ahead…it is your pizza.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over top.
Sprinkle oregano on top of cheese.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the center of the oven.
Mangia!! Guaranteed to fill your belly! Not sure if there will be any room for cookies or cake after this meal…
